The College of Arts and Science Technology Information Center will be up and running in its new capacity by the start of the Fall Semester. The Center will be available to ALL faculty, staff, and students in the College. The following guidelines for use will also be put into effect:
  1. The College of Arts and Sciences Technology Information Center (TIC) will be open Monday through Fridays except for University approved Holidays.
  2. The TIC will be available for faculty and staff to reserve for classes during normal class times under the following conditions:
    • The TIC MUST be reserved at least 24 hours in advance in order to bring an entire class. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED!
    • Evening classes will have to make arrangements with either Melanie or Jackie to gain entrance to the Center.
    • A faculty, staff member or graduate TA MUST be present at all times.
    • The person in charge of the class is responsible for the room while they are using it. They will be responsible for locking the door (if needed), leaving the room in a neat and orderly manner (chairs put back, etc.), making sure no food or drink is brought into the room, etc.
    • The TIC can not be scheduled exclusively for an entire semester for a particular class.
  3. On Friday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 pm, the TIC will be reserved for Faculty and Staff use only. A Lab Associate will be available for consultation during this time. Faculty and Staff are encouraged to come to the Center and take advantage of this new service.
  4. The Center will be open on a limited basis for “Open Lab” to all in the College. The amount of time and specific hours the Center schedules for “Open Lab” will be dependent upon student work study help and class reservations. These hours are likely to change from semester to semester.
  5. Use of the large format printer and the color printer will be strictly monitored due to the use and maintenance costs required by these printers.
*Guidelines for use are subject to change.
